| History |
Realizing the importance of preparing students academically, socially, and spiritually for college, in 1996 a group of home school parents founded Rock Solid High School. Their vision was to develop a program that would offer students an outstanding and comprehensive education while allowing parents the opportunity to continue overseeing their students' home school education. Using the university model, those parents conceived the idea of forming a private high school that would meet two days per week (Tuesday and Friday) with qualified staff for intensive instruction in each course of study. With parents as overseers, the students would then complete teacher assignments at home during the balance of the week. This concept would not only provide for significant parental involvement (a key to success in high school education), but would also teach the student necessary life skills such as time management.
Thirteen years since our founding, Rock Solid High School continues to be a very successful alternative for the Denver-area home schooling community.
