  Rae Atherton - Principal


Mrs. Atherton has been an integral part of RSHS for 12 years..  She has taught math, served on the Board of Directors, and is now our school's principal.  Her goal is to see every student at Rock Solid succeed and grow in Christ. Rae and her husband Larry have 3 sons and 2 grandsons. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

Patti Bogner - AP Calculus, Honors Pre-Calculus & Geometry

Patti Bogner began tutoring over 30 years ago when she was in high school.  She has taught in a classroom setting for a total of 12 years after receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Math and Education from Dallas Baptist University. Patti and her husband, Mark (who is also a teacher), have five children,.  Patti enjoys "commanding" a local Awana's program and helping with her mother's discipleship ministry called Gracestoration.

  Paula Brock - ACT/SAT Prep, English 9 & Personal Finance


This is Paula's fourth year teaching at Rock Solid. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies/Education and a Master's Degree in Counseling, both from Point Loma Nazarene University.  She is married and has two children.  Paula loves spending time with her family camping, canoeing, and just being together. Paula and her husband, Jeff serve on the RSHS board of directors.

Cecilia Gibbs - Assistant Principal


This is Cecilia's 6th year as assistant principal at RSHS. She has a B.A. from Metropolitan State College and a Certificate of Management from the University of Denver. Her greatest joy is working with the students and watching them grow intellectually as well as spiritually. She and her husband Kevin have 3 children and 2 grandchildren. Mrs. Gibbs has many interests including family, reading, playing piano, serving at church, and traveling.

  Adam Greiving - U.S. & World History


Adam is a RSHS graduate and earned his B.A. in History and Political Science with an emphasis in Middle Eastern Studies from Florida State University. Adam is presently working on his masters degree from the University of Colorado at Denver. Mr. Greiving is a former graduate of Rock Solid High School.

 
  Jennifer Greiving - Drama, Spanish 1, 2, and 3

Before coming to Rock Solid, Jenn Greiving taught various levels of English and Debate for three years at Lawton Chiles High School in Tallahassee, Florida. Jenn graduated from Florida College in Tampa, Florida in 2005 with a degree in Liberal Studies. She has been nominated for various teaching awards, including Who's Who Among America's Teachers and Teacher of the Year. She enjoys traveling and learning about other cultures and languages, and is fluent in Spanish. Jenn and her husband Ben, a Rock Solid alumnus, live in Parker.


   Emily Johnson - Honors Advanced Biology & Biology

Biology teacher, Emily Johnson, is in her 4th year of college pursuing a double major in Biology and English Literature.  As a Rock Solid alumni, Emily knows how to help students learn and succeed.   She enjoys science, serving on her church worship team, reading, and snowboarding with her husband, Byron.

Maryann Jennings - Economics, Statistics, & World Geography



This is Maryann's eleventh year teaching at RSHS. She received her B.A. from Wesleyan University and Masters in Education from George Washington University. She and her husband have three children. In her spare time Maryann enjoys reading and going on long walks with their family dog. In addition to teaching, Maryann works as a customer service rep for Charles Schwab, a financial services firm.

 

Phillip Lee - British Literature, Computer 1, 2


Phillip Lee is teaching Computer at Rock Solid while pursuing a Master of Divinity with emphasis in Biblical Studies at Denver Seminary.  He achieved a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Colorado at Denver. Phillip's teaching philosophy is to pursue academic excellence through Christ's mastery, redemption and infatuation of every student's heart, mind and soul.
 
 Kim Murphy - Administrative Assistant


A graduate from Warren Tech. Center, Kim Murphy has served as Administrative Assistant for RSHS for three years now. She is happily married to Steve, her high school sweet heart of 24 years. Her first "real" job involved managing the word processing center at Philips Petroleum Co.  Kim took a 20 year sabbatical to raise and home school three children. Mrs. Murphy enjoys spending time with her family and is also the Church pianist at Southside Bible Church.

Priscilla Musgrave - Accounting, Algebra 1, 2 & Chemistry


Priscilla Musgrave received a Bachelor Degree in Math Education From Maranatha Baptist Bible College and has been teaching for the past six years. Her desire is to make math and science interesting and relevant from a Biblical perspective. Priscilla enjoys snowboarding, running, piano, and spending time with her husband, Josh, and their three daughters.


Elaine Smith - Physical Science



Elaine Smith has an Associate of Applied Science degree and is currently working toward a Bachelor of Arts in Bibilical Leadership with an emphasis in Christian Education. Mrs. Smith has a passion for God, students, and science, and has ten years experience with youth ministry, directing Vacation Bible School, teaching science enrichment programs, and directing science camps. Elaine enjoys spending time with her family watching movies and traveling.

 Kathy Zaker - Honors Advanced Writing, U.S. Government, & World Literature



Kathy Zaker attended Colorado University and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in German.  She later received her teaching credential from CU.  Mrs. Zaker home schooled her own three children, now all graduated with degrees and careers.  She and her husband teach an adult Sunday school class at their church.  Her hobbies include gardening, reading, quilting, and cooking.
